Learn why this façade is very sculptural for its period (1627).

Built in 1627 by the master carpenter Hans Iulmi for Bendicht Schwingruber and Kathrin Mani (Roman script). Restored in 1988. The upper and attic floors are original. The covered balcony under the eaves on the south side, and the corner room on the north side, are more recent additions. The walls on the lower floor have been renewed.

Instead of the grooves in the window sill, decoration is now provided in the form of a cubed frieze. The substantial projections are supported by small corbels and the roof corbels are heavily chamfered. As a result the façade is very sculptural for its period.
